Owl Pellets

The owl pellet experiment was really cool and surprising. An owl pellet is what the owl regurgitates. The owls stomach acid cleans of all of the flesh off of the bones. Then the owl regurgitates all of the bones in a sort of hairball. In class we had to disect the owl pellet and reconstruct whatever organism the owl ate. I had a mouse, we could tell by the orange teeth and the small head. We reconstructed the mouse and glued all of the bones on a piece of whit paper. This class experiment was very interesting and educational.

Study game

The study game was very fun and very helpful. We used eggspert buzzers and the smart board to play. The buzzers buzzed every time you hit it and gave you twenty seconds to answer the question. We played a jeopardy style game. It was very fun and helpful. It prepared me a lot for the test on ecology. My team did not win but he had over five-hundred points. I hope we can play this again before the next test.

The Airpod

The Airpod is a mini car that runs on compressed air. The car has four wheels. It can fit two people inside. This car can only reach 43 mph. Also, it gets over 130 miles to the gallon. The airpod is 82 inches long 63 inches wide and 79 inches tall. Each car weighs 500 pounds. This car cannot be driven on the interstates. The airpod was built buy Guy Negre. Guy has been working on this project for over two decades. I would not want to buy this car becuase it only goes 43 miles per hour. Most interstates and free ways have a speeding limit about 20 mph higher then that.

Food web/ food chain

In class this week we worked with the smart board alot. Most of these activities on the smart board were about the food chain and food web. The food web was very interesting. It showed where each animal gets its food or energy from. For example the spider would get its energy from the fly but the lizard gets its energy from the spider. The food chain is much different. It shows which organism is at the top and which organism is at the bottom. An example is the sun is first which gives its energy to the grass, the grass gives its energy to the insect, the insect gives it to the lizard, and the lizard gives it to the hawk.

Hymotion3 car

The hymotion3 car is another idea of makeing the world greener. This car is fuel efficient and can ride in all wheather. It has no doors and can occupie only one passenger. This car is part gasoline and part electric. It is also part scooter. It is simalar to the smart car. The hymotion3 car has 4 horse power on electric running only but can go faster while on gasoline running only.
